Have fun making a unique art piece on copper by employing some of the surface design methods commonly used on fabric or paper. Dale will show you how to stencil and stamp metal patina formulas on copper. Once that process is done, we will further texture our work with a variety of hammering and punching techniques. After that, it’s time to embellish! Bring beads, buttons, or whatever fun items you think you’d like to incorporate into your work… Dale will help you figure out how to attach them.
Once you are finished we will glue a block to the back of your piece, and your artwork will be ready to hang!
NOTE! Everyone will be given a piece of copper @ 1’ square. Please let Dale know by July 6 whether you would like it to be square, rectangular (and if so, the measurements), or a random shape like the one in the example.
