AUGUST PROGRAM: It’s a SNAP!
Photographing and entering your work for the Annual FASA Exhibition.
Meeting Time: 10:00 a.m. – Noon, Monday, August 14, 2017.
San Antonio Garden Center 3310 N. New Braunfels Avenue, SATX 78209.
Authored by Lyn Belisle.
OK, so you’re the juror – which of these images do you think best shows the submitted work?
The difference is subtle, but important – the second image is cropped to take out the “raw” background and the slight crookedness of the frame.
Our August Program is all about how to enter the FASA annual exhibit. If you are a bit nervous about filling out the entry form online or getting a good picture of your artwork, then we have you covered!
Rebecca Segura will demo the entry form projected overhead and answer any questions about entering your artwork. The entry form is one small hurdle, the photographs can seem insurmountable.
Taking the pictures is tricky business, for sure, but don’t let this stop you from entering your artwork in our annual exhibit. Here’s another example – lighting can make a difference.
BEFORE
AFTER
For those who are not able to photograph their work, Ida Spence will be available after the program to take entry photographs of member’s artwork for their submissions. If you need help with either the entry process or the photography, Ida and Rebecca will both be available to get your entry done and complete.
If you already have your photographs but just need help with the form and uploading, bring your images in JPG or JPEG format on a thumb drive, CD, or SD card and we will help you with uploading.
FASA has such a wide array of fiber artists, we can’t wait to see what pours out of the imaginations of our members.
