Message from the FASA President
Greetings Y’all,
I hope all of you are safe and sound.
First of all, though I have not heard formally from the San Antonio Garden Center regarding whether or not they are open, we will not engage in any FASA activities that require us to be in proximity to one another until we get the all-clear from the CDC.
This is a very scary and challenging time, testing every nerve within us, but PLEASE remain safe, prayerful, and most of all KIND to one another. When you have a moment, check on each other. Every one of you knows someone within FASA and outside of FASA. Take the time (of which many of us have plenty unless you are in the healthcare profession – GOD BLESS YOU!) to reach out by email, phone, text, facetime, Facebook, etcetera, to check on one another. A friendly caring voice is always uplifting.
Take care of yourself. You can go outside and get some fresh air. Tackle that task you’ve been putting off forever because you have not had the time to deal with it.
If you are still avoiding that task, go into your studio and have some fun. Creating magic is always a great way to ease the tension in our bodies and minds.
Take a break from the news if it is raising your concerns. It hasn’t changed much. The story is still the same. Coronavirus 19 and all related topics. Your real update comes from knowing you, your family, your friends are safe and sound.
Make a mask or many masks. The internet has a ton of information on how to make masks and where to send them.
Avoid scammers. They are out there offering bogus services and cures at a cost. Last I heard, testing is free but scarce. What is free and cheap is limiting human contact (pets excluded).
But most importantly, take care of you and yours, stay hydrated, wash your hands to happy birthday x 2, don’t touch your face, etcetera and “Lord willing and the creek don’t rise” I look forward to seeing y’all very soon.
Until next time, air hugs and kisses,
Deb Harris FASA President
