Susan Oaks will present a slide lecture at the FASA March meeting showing vessels and collages. She is a graduate of UT Austin and has been a working artist for over 40 years.
Her work has been shown at New Mexico State University, Southern Utah State College, Ceres Gallery in New York City, in Connecticut, Belize, Central America, and in Houston at the Center for Contemporary Craft.
In San Antonio, her work has been exhibited at St. Mary’s University, Blue Star Arts Complex, Southwest School of Art, Bihl Haus Arts, the Carver Cultural Center, and at other venues.
She received awards in 2017 and 2018 at the San Antonio Art League and Museum’s Annual Artists Exhibit. She is also represented in the San Antonio TriCentennial Exhibit, Currents, at the Southwest School of Art.
Susan teaches at the Southwest School of Art, the San Antonio Museum of Art, and various other places.
