Our speaker will be Rose Kennedy, a well known local costume designer. Rose has been making costumes for the past 40 years. She started when her children were little and she wanted to spend as much time with them as possible. So when the opportunity to make costumes for the San Antonio Ballet came, her home was transformed with tutus and hasn’t been the same since. She has made costumes for such greats as “Shrek” to “Evita” to “A Christmas Carol” (at least six or eight times!) and “West Side Story” (three times). This will be a conversation with Rose—how she creates, how she sews, how she manages numerous actors and actresses plus the director and stage manager.
