2020 – Nuno felted scarves – silk scarves, with curly locks, Merino wool and sari silk.
Nuno is a wet felting technique of laminating wool into silk. Very sheer light weight scarf. My colors for 2021 in response to the Pantone colors of Yellow and Gray.

Entry Statement: In COVID times we’ve used technology to connect with others. This has expanded my knowledge. I bought most of the materials on Facebook Live sales, directly from the person who dyed the scarf, or raised the sheep, sheared and processed the wool. I met many wonderful people who had created an online community to replace in-person shows, allowing them to keep their farms and businesses. I was able to learn from instructors in the UK and Europe, who created online tutorials to replace in-person classes.
